Peter Biggs is a director and founder of PJB Planning Ltd. He is a qualified Town Planner (BSc (Hons) Dip TP, MRTPI) with over 30 years’ experience and has worked for local authorities, national housebuilders and planning consultancies.
Peter has worked on a broad range of residential and commercial projects. As well heading up Development Control teams at East Herts Council, Peter was head of planning for Barratt Developments and David Wilson Homes Divisions covering the East of England. During his time at these developers, he was the planning lead role for the company overseeing the award-winning development of 1200 dwellings at Trumpington Meadows, Cambridge and the Basildon Town Centre Regeneration Masterplan.
As a planning consultant, Peter has acted for a wide range of clients, including landowners, developers and land promoters, advising and bringing forward schemes through the planning process.
Along with his extensive commercial experience of the development process, engaging with local authorities and communities, and working on delivering upfront schemes, Peter is skilled in project managing teams of consultants, promoting sites and land, and making planning policy representations.
PJB Planning is an active member of the Hertfordshire Infrastructure & Development Board, which brings political, civic, health and business leadership together from across the county of Hertfordshire to discuss and promote sustainable economic growth and high quality placemaking.
